I think even Marc thinks it looks good. A little traditional, but once I get my funky light in there, it will liven it up!
In the before, you can see a lighter line running down the right side, that is a crack that was 1/4-2" wide. I tried to patch it, but it was still a mess.The system is totally easy to use and i put these up by myself in about an hour. Marc had to help me hold the first one, but after that they lock into each other, so it is so easy. Here's some info on the system.
I stopped last night because I didn't want to go up in the attic in the dark to move the J box for the light (The new light will be in a slightly shifted location). I have too much work to do tonight, so I think I will finish it on Friday.
Then I think it is a weekend of kitchen demo!

ReplyDeleteI am mostly a lurker on the nest and I found your blog a while back and I love everything you've done with your house! It has come so far from when you got it and it looks amazing.
Also, I feel like we're kind of in the same boat, as I am an engineer and I've been studying almost non-stop for the licensing exam for engineers, which I'm taking on 4/11. Good luck with all the rest of your tests! It actually makes me feel better that I only have to take one.
