If you've been at a party with Marc or me within the past year, you've heard us geek out over the old coke signs we found nailed to the wall in our "pantry". This is the "pantry":
Well, we could only see the backs of the signs (see above), but because Marc did some research on our house and found out that it was built in 1922 by Western NC's first Coke rep, we were pretty geeked about about them. It was a big mystery. Would they be in ok shape? Would they be cool? They were covered by newspaper (from the 1950's) and wallpaper.
And FINALLY here they are:
Pretty stinking cool right? There are about 10 or so. We haven't pulled them all down yet. They are 2 different styles, 6 or so really big ones, and 4 or 5 longer rectangle ones. We might make a table out of the good ones, or just hang clean them up and hang them on the wall, but we need to check out ebay and see if these babies are worth anything!
