I'm so not joking. I've never done crown molding before because I'm not such a big fan of it in general, but I had to get some to cover up the edge of the tin ceiling (which btw is all up! Yippeeee! See pic at bottom.)
Anyway, I figure, Marc and I both have architecture degrees, therefore, we should be able to figure out some cuts having to do shapes and math no problemo, right? Yeah, it took me at least 15 trial cuts to get it.
Lesson #2: Old House + New Crown Molding = PITA
(that's pain in the arse to all you non-geeks)
Seriously, all of our walls are wavy and sooo not at 90 degree angles to each other. It made me want to cry. Even patient, perfectionist Marc was annoyed with it. We are not finishing it tonight. WAY too stressful for a Sunday night.
Oh, I did get the paint though. I'm repainting the walls and painting the crown molding 2 shades darker than the current paint. It should be a little more dramatic and match the blue glass tile better.
