Kitchen on a Deadline

The Kitchen Cabinets Deadline is set April 26th, 2008.

Why you ask? Because we are going to Atlanta for a concert and to pick up the Ikea cabinets. there is a ton of stuff that has to be done beforehand, and I can't even begin to think about it. So instead, let's look at pretty pictures!
This is the look of the wood wall. We are hoping to reuse the nice pine beadboard that was there (and likely original to the house). We'll just flip it over, sand and stain it.

And here is the opposite side:

and a sort of "section cut" thru the bar area:
And yes, plan on painting the dining room above the picture rail & the ceiling blue!

Here is the plan with some color. This isn't exactly right, but close.

  1. looks great! i like the idea of reusing the beadboard. have you found any appliances you like on that website?

  2. oh, and we're planning to use some of our old wood flooring that we had to pull up on the wall in our pantry too. i dig it.
