Lest you think we have been slacking again, here is proof to the contrary. <--I work so hard, I even do it in my pajamas & slippers. Now that is renovation dedication. Wow, that's catchy, I might have to copyright it. For example, that is a bundle of newly run speaker wire hanging in front of me.
Marc has been busy too. Check out his mad drywall muddin' skills. We are both dreaming of the days when we can eat in a real dining room like adults and NOT in front of the tv.
We are actually working so hard, that Marc doesn't even pause to get a pencil & paper. He just sketches right on the wall. This is a sketch of how that hidden in-wall cabinet will work in the dining room.
This is the kitchen side of that wall. We had to work wall outlets into that wood panel wall, so this is how we plan to do it.
The wood paneling will come down to a white strip which contains the outlets.
Then below, we will have a wide wood board "backsplash" and the countertop.

Hey! I say if you're watching Netflix at the coffee table while having dinner, it makes you plenty grown up!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
You'll have an odd feeling of wistfulness when the notes and sketches get painted over. It's weird.
What's really depressing is that most people will only notice the last trivially easy things you did and have no idea how much work you put in behind the paint and under the furniture.

B, that outfit is HOT.
