Here's some cute highlights from my Christmas '08:
3 yr olds are the best to watch open gifts! Puppy Feet now for babies too!
Babies come in 2 sizes in my family: XL and XS. :)
And New Hammers all around!
We had a really great time visiting family, but because we are throwing a New Years/New Kitchen Party in ~72 hours, we needed to have a new kitchen! So, after driving 10 hours back to the crackhouse, work resumed within10 minutes! We've primed the ceiling and walls and made and installed one of the cabinet bases. The nice, new floor is protected by a tarp and newspaper.
The cabinet base that we installed is for the 3 tall cabinets. (They cover the entire wall, that is why it is not painted.) Anyway, I finished putting together the last 2 cabinets today and got really geeked out about the amount of storage in our new kitchen compared to what we have now.
Check it out:

Old kitchen 7 shelves..... New kitchen 30 shelves!! Woo-hoo! This shows only one of the new tall cabinets. (24x24x88") We have 3 of these, (2) 18" wide ones with 3 drawers each, then (2) 12" wide ones, then the under sink. It is going to be awesome!

Can't wait to see the finished kitchen. Hope you are able to finish before your NYE party. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering how long it'll take them to surface after that mad gauntlet...
ReplyDeleteWe know where you're coming from.
Missus was so whiped yesterday that she barely left the sofa. Totally geeked out on DVD's. Gattica, Babylon 5, Titan AE, and goodness knows what else. (this is different than our LOR-Director's cut weekends, and our Harry Potter weekends, obviously).
If I had to guess, the intrepid pair watched parades, a little football, and either movies or perhaps a half dozen episodes of "The Sopranos".

I guess we'll have to wait and see how it went and how they recovered :)...
