Footy PJs! (with puppy feet!)
I got these today at Target. (In the boys department!) I need an XL, not L though, so I've got to go back. Other tricks include: blankets, lots of blankets; thermal curtains (which we bought by haven't put up); & Great Stuff big gap filler (for all those weird cracks and holes).

Man, I so hope you guys can "retrospray" some slow rise foam in those walls some day.
ReplyDeleteWe know where you're coming from, as the apt. we're in has no insulation in the walls because it's brick and plaster. The windows are original. All beautiful but we're rarely completely WARM during the dead of winter.
We use curtains to zone heat which helps and looks sorta sexy, but no matter where we set the thermo, we're never fully comfortable in some parts of the place, and if we try, we're looking at $800 utilities.
Now, at the HOUSE, with all that spray foam, we set the thermo at 60 and it's comfortable. The third floor (with 7.5" of R7/") is positively toasty.
