New Back Porch Art

5/29/09

Instead of screening-in the porch (a project that will be started this weekend), I decided to decorate it! Major e-kudos to anyone who can guess what this is.

Hints:
My grandpa made it.
Could qualify for LEED credits.

This really should help people find their way back to the house after our bonfire this weekend. :)

Sidetables - Act I

5/27/09

So my awesome friend Michelle, who knew that I was on the hunt for cheap sidetables to redo nabbed these 3 yesterday for me at Goodwill. ($19 total!) Thanks Michelle!

We are thinking of doing a laquered finish on maybe just the top and legs matte or stained wood? Ideas for color?? They are shown about the location where I hope to use them.

Also, the hardworking Benjamin stools are about to get a facelift too. Here they are now, all dirty and covered with plaster compound.

Stay tuned for Act II.

On to more little projects...

My work schedule is finally back to normal and so I'm now having time to catch up on all my side projects that I let fall by the wayside. First, two invitations:

This one is for my nephew's 7th Birthday. I love photoshop.

and here's the back:

Next up was my brother's Wedding shower BBQ Bonanza Invite.
His Fiance is Canadian, and my brother was an American History major (plus it is on July 4th):

I know, I know, don't quit my day job, but these were fun!

The little things...

5/10/09

It's been what? 3 months? 4 months? and I'm still infatuated our cabinets.

I've been working like a dog, so Marc did some organizing and customizing in the kitchen.

He cut 2 shelves for the Coffee Center (aka Anti-Bad mood Bunny Center) and got that all organized.

Marc also cut one shelf and installed another above the fridge to store placemats, cookbooks and table linens.

I'm not dead.

5/7/09

Just working 14 hour days for a deadline and watching hockey playoffs the remaining 2 waking hours.

I just wanted to prove that I do thrust my love of color on to clients not just my own house. Check out the color for the ceiling soffit in the new ABC (liquor) store that I picked out.

Now that's hot, right?
