Sometimes, you just gotta love Craigslist! I emailed a woman yesterday about a playhouse, and BASTA! by 7:30pm last night, I had one loaded in the back of Marc's truck. It has some cracking on the door, but I'll fix that before I paint.

This morning, we got Franca up and showed her it out the office window. Her eyes got really big and she said "playhouse" about a million times excitedly. When we finally went outside, both girls made a beeline for it! Too cute. They had a ball, even if it is a little ugly. I'll remedy that soon enough.



I got a rare mid-morning break (well, I only had Franca to look after) so we booked it to Ace Hardware. The goal is to sort of imitate our house colors. They had to special order the green "ivy leaf" color because the hunter just wasn't going to cut it. It will be in Thursday. This is what I'm thinking:

Our door is currently orange, but Marc has been wanting to paint it this color red for a while. Looks like the real house will mimic the playhouse on that one!

I got the brown for the roof in satin and the burgundy for the door in gloss. The green for the walls only comes in gloss. Will that look silly or nice to have a contrast in finish? It looks like the inspiration project used gloss on all. Let me know what you think.
