2 Rules of Nanny-less-ness

8/22/12

In other news, I'm nanny-less for the next two weeks. Since the girls stopped sleeping at least 3 hours a day, I've had some help at least 2 days per week.  Being nanny-less would be fine except for two things: I have a ton of work-work to do, and we need money.

This predicament has made me resort to a fun nap method. Namely, I let Franca put herself to sleep. There are only 2 rules:

  1. She must stay in our bedroom or her bedroom. (No coming into the office.)
  2. She must at some point fall asleep.
So far we've had many successes, including these three adorable ones:
(The into-bed transfer does get tricky, I admit.)

Marc's vintage Chewbacca is her LEAST comfortable "dolls", but yet he is the favorite.

It's actually a good method for both of us. I don't stress about making her fall asleep and she doesn't get told what to do.

Pretty lazy, but hey, if lazy works, then why the heck not?

Please wish me continued luck.

  1. I think I'm a charter member of the lazy-naptime club. I don't even bother moving her (she always wakes up and will NOT go back to sleep). I wrote an entry about this not too long ago.
