It occurred to me that while I have posted about the lack of progress on the kitchen window area fit-out, I've never told y'all what we are doing.

This area is tricky because:
- The window sill is lower than a normal counter top height. (So its not like you can just throw standard cabinets and a counter top there.)
- There is a baseboard heater under the window, so again no normal cabinets can go there.
The old owner just ran counter tops in front of the window like this -->

Once we lived in our kitchen for years now, we realized that more storage and counter top space actually would be nice.
So the plan now looks like this:
I think in the end it will end up looking pretty refined and nice. Plus, who can't use more storage?
