Repeat after me:

It is the same snake.

It's the same snake..., right?

Oh, please let it be the same snake.

I pulled this snake skin (16" long? 24" long?) out from under the washer/dryer base this week.

I'm just trying to convince myself it is the skin from the snake we found in May. [I can't believe I didn't post that here. See what you are missing if you don't like me on Facebook?]

Found above snake dead in basement.  Had burial. Franca played taps on the harmonica.
I thought that was the end of it. Apparently, not.

Being from Northern Ohio, snakes freak me out.
Even the casual way in which my current neighbors talk about snakes freak me out. I've been known to drag said neighbors to the backyard/alley/sidewalk and say pointing emphatically: "That huge snake, now that has GOT to be a bad one, right???" Nope. They are never phased.

So, let's look on the bright side here. It was one snake. It was a gardener snake. It was dead. That was most likely its skin. AND the neighbor cat was in the house the other day and followed me into the basement, sniffed around for 2 minutes and left.

This has to be the end of it right? RIGHT? RIGHT?

Hold me.
