We are *almost* done ordering things for the bathroom. This week brought us two light fixtures and one really fancy cool towel warmer/radiator. Check them out:
A - Speakman shower head
B - Speakman controls
C - Hansgrohe Starck hand held shower & wall clip
D - Schluter shower drain
E - Schluter kerdi shower base and curb
F - Kohler persuade circ toilet
G - Hansgrohe toilet paper holder
H - Ikea Godmorgen cabinet in white oak w/ Odensvik sink
J - Hansgrohe talis faucet
K - Hudson Reed Towel Warmer/ Radiator
L - Progress Lighting Vanity fixture
M - Halo recessed can light (for in shower)
We did have a little setback with the radiator. It shipped really quickly, but arrived with a chip in the white paint on the bottom. I do expect things to come perfect, but I especially want something that is going to be used in a steamy room to have a good coating.
So I had to call the UK on my cellphone (is that going to cost me a million bucks?). They shipped a new one out yesterday from NY, so we should have it soon.
Really, the only thing left to select is tile. Marc gets the evil eye whenever he moans: "Why don't we live in California so we could get Heath Ceramics overstock tile?". Dude, the people who buy this house won't give a crap if the tile is Heath! I've had to promise him we can get Heath tile for the new house just to shut him up.
The plumber is coming tomorrow to move the heating pipes. I'm really excited. Marc had been busting his butt between his full time job, his side job and this work to make good on his "toilet by thanksgiving" promise. I know I give the guy a lot of flack, but he's a keeper. ;)

Would you guys still like me if I told you I'd never been to check out Heath's overstock tile...?
ReplyDeleteMarc might not. ;)
DeleteIt is pretty much his dream.
have you guys worked with the schluter drain package before? can't decide whether to go with that or a mud job.
ReplyDeleteWe have not, but have heard all good things.
DeleteIn an old house like ours, we don't feel so comfortable with just a mud-job because of house our house moves and settles. We are afraid gaps or cracks could form over time.
I'll let you know what we think working with it. I ordered the ditra 1/8" underlayment this morning for the bathroom tile (non-shower areas) too.
