Hiring out: Drywallers/ Painters

11/26/12

Did I tell y'all how the plumber came one day, moved the heating pipes and then confessed he didn't want to do the rest of the work? Good times.

We can't even PAY people to work on this house! ARGH!

Speaking of paying people....

I met with drywallers/painters today. It was super exciting to walk around the house saying: "...and then I want YOU to do this." Instead of walking around saying: "...and then WE will do this."
Now we await a price.
I'm hoping it is good. I NEED the guest/play room done so I can finish the nursery. And it looks like this:

Speaking of nursery...

I'm going to have a baby in +/- 42 days. Um, Yeah. Sorta freaking about that. So I bought diapers and wipes today. I checked the expiration date on my almost full tube of lanolin (11/12 - still good right?). Need to remember what goes in a hospital bag.

I'm now going downstairs to attempt to hack into Marc's laptop so I can show you the bathroom floor plan later this week (finally!). Ok, and I'm going downstairs to eat some ice cream too. So there.

  1. I love telling contractors what I want them to do! You know, if I had only been in the hospital for the standard two days, I would've used exactly none things in my hospital bag. But since Ash was in the NICU and I got to stay to be his 'food' I did used clothes, makeup, etc. Otherwise, I needed nothing but clothes to wear home, lived in the gross gown because I was a mess. I also never used my lanolin - that crap is sticky and I guess I'm lucky that my nips never hurt! ha

    1. You are lucky! The lanolin was my BFF. I don't think I used much out of my bag with Franca either honestly.
